Christmas!

Christmas was a blast! I got a new camera for Christmas (I have been wanting a new one for a while!) I actually opened it before Christmas because I wanted to use it for taking pictures.

Christmas Eve was with my in-laws. Peri played Mary in the Nativity play that the grandkids put on. With so many cousins this was her 1st and probably her last time playing Mary. Korbin was a Wiseman. Mason was supposed to play a sheep, but really he just climbed on the "donkey" (aka cousin Matt) the whole time.

New jammies for the whole crew. Note Brittany's (Bryan's little sis) pink footie pj's! Love them!

Christmas morning! We lucked out our kids did not wake up until 8am. They partied too much on Christmas Eve!

After opening presents and playing with our new toys we headed to my parents house for more partying! I did not take very many pics there, because I was having too much fun!

Note the retro christmas tree, that was the one they used to use when Bryan was a kid. Now it is the one they put up in the basement. It was so much fun being at my in laws house for Christmas. The kids had fun being with aunt Brittany and being where the cousins come to visit. We were in the midst of it all!

House Update and Bryan's Martha Stewart Moment

Well, we are still in limbo this Christmas. In the midst of trying to get bids for construction on our house and finalizing a lot, we found a house that was FABULOUS! It is a short sale home ( I know - pain in the butt). We had tried to stay away from short sale homes because they take forever to get an answer from the bank and they are just a pain in the butt. But this house is GREAT! We were actually the last offer the bank took (and supposedly the best offer), before the bank was going to foreclose. Now we are in the waiting game. We have been waiting for over a month now and the suspense is killing me! Everything in our life is on hold until we find out about this house. Hopefully we will know before 2010.

Now a fun Christmas story- Bryan's Martha Stewart Moment! I was gone one night and Bryan was playing Mr. Mom and I get this picture text: Tiff text: "Cute, what are they for?"
Bryan text: "I thought that the kids could give them to their friends for Christmas... I glue gunned them up and it only took about 30min..."

I was super impressed with Bryan's initiative. I had just been thinking that I needed to get the kids friends and teacher gifts over the weekend. I was going to just buy something due to the fact that Christmas is less than a week away. Now the stress is off and I just have to get the kids teachers a gift.

Aren't they cute!!!

Witchy Witchy Screamy Screamy Happy Happy Halloweeny!

Gotta love Halloween! The millions of kids running around on sugar highs and the days of sugar overload afterwards. I love Halloween, but I am always a little relieved when it is over!

Another House Update

How come everything with this process is taking FOREVER? But anyway, we finally have LAND (more pics later). We are in a contract on a lot in my hometown (I don't have a private blog, so I will not post the city- sorry!). We put offers on 2 other lots and are waiting to hear about those. One lot is in my hometown and the other is right by Peri's old school. So now we are getting bids for our loan appraisal and then hopefully we will be digging a hole. PS- House plans are done and ready for that hole!

House Update

Well we are still homeless and living in my in-laws basement. Really if it wasn't so nice maybe we would have left ages ago. We are not just hanging though. We are currently drawing up our house plans with an architect. It is taking FOREVER. I swear it takes weeks to make a simple change. We are making offers on lots this week and hopefully we will have LAND soon. So hopefully we will be building soon. Although a lot hinges on the appraisal we have to get even before we start building. Bryan is going to be our general contractor so that is why the bank is requiring a appraisal before the house is even built. We are still looking at homes too. Everyone keeps telling us that we can get a much better deal buying a home and not building. We will hopefully have answers in the next couple of weeks!
